Locum Tenens Physician - Cardiologist Needed in Virginia

We are seeking a skilled Cardiologist in Virginia for a 90-day assignment. This Physician role involves a dynamic schedule, combining hospital duties in the mornings with outpatient clinic visits in the afternoons, alongside shared call responsibilities. Key responsibilities include managing hospital consults, performing diagnostic procedures such as stress tests, generator changes, and loop recorder insertions, reading echos, and conducting cardioversion procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

• See consults in the hospital.
• Perform stress tests.
• Perform generator changes.
• Perform loop recorder insertions.
• Read echos.
• Perform cardioversion.
• See patients in the office in the afternoon.
• Take shared call with other Cardiologists, including one weekend per month.

Additional Information

• Required Board Certifications: Cardiology
• Other Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
• EMR: Athenahealth, Meditech EHR
• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient clinic, with call responsibilities.
• Call Schedule: Out of house call, shared, one weekend per month.
• Patients per day: 10-12
• LOA: 90 Days
• Staffing Mix: RNs - 2, PA/NPs - 1, Office Staff - 2
