Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Needed in OH

Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for our client in Ohio, starting Aug 31, 2026. This 48-day assignment involves 12-hour night call or day rounding shifts, with the Physician Assistant primarily managing routine cardiothoracic cases including CABG, valves, complex aorta, lobectomy cases, VATS, and endoscopic vein harvesting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform 12-hour night call or day rounding shifts (7a-5p rounding or 5pm-7am call).
• Manage routine cardiothoracic cases, including CABG, valves, complex aorta, lobectomy cases, and VATS.
• Conduct endoscopic vein harvesting utilizing Maquet Hemopro 2.
• Handle occasional ECMO cases; advanced heart failure, VAD, or transplants are not part of this role.
• Be within a 30-minute range of the hospital for call shifts if local, or reside in a nearby hotel if not.
• Be prepared for an approximate 7% chance of being called into the facility during a call shift.
• Address most calls over the phone.
