Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine Needed in New York

Our client in New York is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 32-day ongoing assignment. This role involves providing 12-hour emergency department coverage, including nights and days, with a typical schedule of 5-7 shifts per month. The practitioner will manage a diverse patient population, encompassing both pediatric and adult cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 12-hour emergency department coverage, including night and day shifts.
• Manage a patient population that includes both pediatric and adult cases.
• Collaborate with a physician and other advanced practice providers on duty.
• Contribute to managing a daily census of approximately 73 patients, distributed across shifts and among the medical team.

• Required Board Certifications: Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine-Critical Care Medicine, or Internal Medicine with Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine
