Job Description

Our client is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for an 84-day assignment in Illinois, commencing Aug 17, 2026. This role involves serving as a full-time Crisis Worker within a busy Emergency Department, with APP shifts covering 8a-8p and 5p-5a, seven days per week, requiring night and weekend availability. The Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive care to adults, geriatrics, and a small percentage of pediatric patients (10-15%), performing essential emergency medicine procedures including laceration repair, joint reductions, and incision and drainage.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as a full-time Crisis Worker within the Emergency Department.
  • Provide patient care for a diverse population including adults, geriatrics, and a small percentage of pediatric cases (10-15%).
  • Perform standard emergency medicine procedures.
  • Conduct laceration repair and suturing.
  • Execute joint reductions.
  • Perform incision and drainage.


Additional Information

  • EMR system utilized is Epic.
  • Active Illinois license required.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications are necessary.
  • APP shifts are 8a-8p and 5p-5a, seven days per week, requiring night and weekend availability.
  • The facility is a Trauma Center.
