Job Description

Our client in Colorado is actively seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 5-day assignment beginning Aug 27, 2026. This role involves providing backup coverage and supervisory duties within an emergency department, primarily handling on-call responsibilities from Thursday 7am to Tuesday 7pm for critical cases such as OB or Trauma patients, alongside general ER cases ranging from illnesses to various accidents.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide backup coverage for an emergency department.
  • Serve as an ER supervisor, leveraging a strong midlevel team.
  • Primarily respond to calls for OB or Trauma patients, utilizing an established referral process.
  • Manage a caseload averaging 6-8 patients per day, potentially ranging from 4 to 15 patients.
  • Handle typical emergency room cases including illnesses, injuries, car accidents, farm accidents, anaphylactic shock, and allergic reactions.
