We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 65-day assignment in Kentucky. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The Nurse Practitioner will manage a diverse patient caseload, including chronic and preventative care, sick call cases, and may supervise Advanced Practice Providers while also performing infirmary rounds.
Responsibilities and Duties
Supervise Advanced Practice Providers as needed.
Conduct rounds in the infirmary, including for internal medicine cases.
Manage sick call cases and patient rounds.
Perform chronic and preventative care procedures and follow-ups.
Lead preventative care clinics and annual physical exams.
Execute trauma triage.
Maintain accurate charting notes.
Manage medication refills and address patient medication non-compliance.
Treat general primary care cases.
Handle chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia.
Provide care for sick call cases for common ailments like runny nose, headaches, and back pain.
Perform splinting and suturing.
Oversee foot clinics and provide infirmary care.
