Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice Needed in PA

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment in Pennsylvania, commencing Sep 14, 2026. This vital role operates on a consistent schedule from 7:30am to 4pm, encompassing a broad range of responsibilities. Key duties include managing sick call and patient rounding, running chronic and preventative care procedures, conducting follow-ups, and leading preventative care clinics. The practitioner may also be called upon for infirmary rounds concerning internal medicine cases and trauma triage, while meticulously charting notes and handling medication refills.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Sick call and rounding
• Running chronic and preventative care procedures and follow ups
• Preventative care clinics
• May be called upon for infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases
• Trauma triage
• Charting notes
• Med refills
• PA/NP lines in morning (suture removal, follow ups, etc)
• Med non-compliance with patients

Additional Information

• Cases encountered include bread and butter primary care, infirmary cases, chronic care (such as asthma, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia), and preventative care (annual physical exams: over 50 yearly, under 50 every 3 years).
• Sick call cases include runny nose, headaches, and back pain.
• Ability to perform sutures and splinting is a plus, but not required.
• The patient population includes a singular transgender patient.
