Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day assignment in California, starting Aug 10, 2026. The role involves managing a patient volume of approximately 18 daily, maintaining patient refills, and handling diverse cases ranging from chronic disease management and annual physicals to mental health support, PrEP & PEP screening, and gender-affirming care. Shifts are either 8:00am – 5:00pm or 10:00am – 7:00pm.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • See a patient volume of roughly 18 daily
  • Maintain refills for patients
  • Manage chronic diseases including Hypertension, Type 2 Diabetes, and Asthma
  • Conduct annual wellness exams, employment physicals, and follow-up visits for chronic labs
  • Address mental health needs, managing basic SSRI/SNRI titration and referring to the 14-clinic network for specialized therapy
  • Perform PrEP & PEP screening for HIV/STI
  • Initiate and maintain gender-affirming care, prescribing and adjusting Testosterone (IM/SubQ/Gel) or Estrogen + Anti-androgens (Spironolactone)
  • Monitor patients on gender-affirming care, checking total/free Testosterone, Estradiol, CBC (for polycythemia in T patients), and BMP (for potassium in Spironolactone users)
  • Care for a patient population where one-third identify as trans or non-binary, with a focus on adolescent/adult care
