Job Description

Our client in Maine is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 7-day assignment beginning Aug 19, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, conducting wellness checks, and managing various ailments. You will also play a critical role in supporting the EMS crew, responding to 911 medical emergencies, and assisting with patient transport, which may include travel via ferry, boat, or small plane. Shifts are scheduled from 8am to 1pm, with flexibility to reschedule appointments during emergency call-outs.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including wellness checks and management of various ailments.
  • Support the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) crew, responding to 911 medical emergencies as needed.
  • Participate in patient transport from the island to the mainland, utilizing various modes including ferry, boat, or small plane.
  • Utilize discretion to reschedule appointments when responding to emergency calls.
  • Manage a caseload of regular Family Practice cases.
