Job Description

Our client in Pennsylvania is actively seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment. Starting Aug 10, 2026, this role involves consistent 7:30am - 4pm shifts, encompassing responsibilities from sick calls and daily rounding to managing chronic and preventative care, and providing trauma triage.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide sick call services and conduct daily rounds.
  • Manage chronic and preventative care procedures and follow-ups.
  • Oversee preventative care clinics.
  • Respond to infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases.
  • Perform trauma triage.
  • Complete charting notes and medication refills.
  • Handle PA/NP lines in the morning, including suture removal and follow-ups.
  • Address medication non-compliance with patients.
  • Manage bread and butter primary care cases.
  • Treat chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia.
  • Perform preventative care, including annual physical exams.
  • Address common sick call presentations like runny nose, headaches, and back pain.
  • Complete physicals within 14 days of intake.
  • Perform pap smears.
  • Ability to perform sutures and splinting is a plus.
  • Adhere to protocol requiring a female nurse to accompany male providers at all times.
