Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Family Practice Needed in PA

Job Description

Our client in Pennsylvania is seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment starting Sep 14, 2026. This role involves a consistent 7:30 AM to 4 PM schedule, focusing on diverse duties including sick calls, patient rounding, managing chronic and preventative care procedures, and providing trauma triage. You will also be responsible for essential charting, medication refills, and morning patient lines.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide sick call services and conduct patient rounds.
• Manage chronic and preventative care procedures and follow-ups.
• Conduct preventative care clinics.
• Perform infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases as needed.
• Handle trauma triage.
• Complete charting notes accurately.
• Process medication refills.
• Perform PA/NP lines in the morning, including suture removal and follow-ups.
• Address medication non-compliance with patients.

Additional Information

• This position operates within both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• The ideal candidate will have experience with a range of cases including primary care, infirmary, chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes, and preventative care exams.
• Ability to perform sutures and splinting is preferred, though not strictly required.
