Job Description

We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician for an exciting 50-day assignment in Arizona, starting Sep 21, 2026. This role involves managing a 4-bed inpatient unit, handling short-stay admissions, surgical follow-ups, and stabilizing high-risk cases for transfer within a critical access hospital environment. The schedule requires 5-10 shifts per month, typically 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM or 7:30 PM, with no routine call or overnight coverage.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive hospitalist services within a inpatient unit.
  • Manage short-stay admissions and surgical follow-up care.
  • Operate effectively within a Critical Access Hospital environment.
  • Stabilize high-risk cases in the Emergency Department for timely transfer.
  • Commit to 5-10 shifts per month, with typical hours from 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM or 7:30 PM.
  • No routine call or overnight coverage required.
  • When inpatient census is low, responsibilities may include ED follow-ups, Fast Track staffing, urgent care support, outpatient lab reviews, and clearing patients for infusion services.
