Job Description

We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician for a 42-day assignment in Michigan, starting Sep 14, 2026. This inpatient-focused role requires strong respiratory/critical care experience, including advanced procedures like intubation, ventilator management, and various line insertions. You will be instrumental in managing complex cases and ensuring high-quality patient care throughout the assignment.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 100% inpatient care with respiratory/critical care experience.
  • Perform Moderate Sedation.
  • Conduct Lumbar Puncture.
  • Perform Endotracheal Intubation and Extubation.
  • Execute Paracentesis/Thoracentesis.
  • Manage Ventilator Management, including assessing readiness for and administering respiratory weaning/oxygen therapy and extubation, and assessing need for intubation.
  • Perform Chest Tube Insertion.
  • Insert PICC Lines, Arterial Lines, Central Venous Lines either percutaneously or by cut down.
  • Perform Arterial Line Insertion and Removal (radial and femoral).
  • Provide Tracheostomy Care, including tube change.
  • Manage Tension pneumothorax in emergent situations.
  • Perform External pacing, including adjusting temporary epicardial, transvenous, or transcutaneous pacemaker as necessary.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Hospital Medicine required.
  • Experience with Epic EMR system.
  • Respiratory/critical care experience with procedures is mandatory for this 100% inpatient role.
  • Proctoring of 5 procedures is required for certain privilege requests.
