Locum Tenens Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine Needed in California

We are seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician for a 35-day assignment in California. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, featuring morning rounds starting at 7am, outpatient office hours from 8am to 5pm, and overnight telephone consultation calls from 5pm to 8am. This ongoing coverage opportunity involves providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient high-risk pregnancy care, performing standard MFM procedures, and conducting consultations for our client.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform morning rounds at the hospital starting at 7am.
• Conduct outpatient clinic services Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient high-risk pregnancy care.
• Handle standard MFM procedures and consultations.
• Manage overnight telephone consultation calls from 5pm-8am; no requirement to return to the hospital campus.
• Expected to see an average of 8-10 outpatient patients per day.
• No birth attendance required and no weekend responsibilities.
• Perform Biophysical Profile (BPP) and Detailed Anatomy Scans.
• Conduct Middle Cerebral Artery (MCA) Doppler and Umbilical Artery (UA Doppler).
• Perform First and Second Trimester Fetal Anatomy Evaluation.
• Conduct Transvaginal Cervical Measurements.
• Provide Genetic Counseling and Testing, and Amniocentesis.
• Initial coverage at the main campus, with potential movement to other clinic locations as needed.
