Locum Tenens Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine Needed in PA

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician for a 90-day assignment in Pennsylvania. This role involves providing outpatient consultations, obstetrical ultrasound services, and comprehensive inpatient maternal fetal medicine coverage. Responsibilities include antepartum/postpartum rounding, consultations, cerclages, and some deliveries, with an expectation to supervise MFM APPs, fellows, and residents, alongside participating in home night call, Labor and Delivery backup call, and weekend inpatient rounds.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide outpatient consultations and obstetrical ultrasound services.
• Deliver inpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine coverage, including antepartum/postpartum rounding and consults.
• Perform cerclages and some deliveries as needed.
• Supervise Maternal Fetal Medicine Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), fellows, and residents.
• Manage a diverse range of cases such as pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH), HELLP syndrome, Type I and II diabetes, gestational diabetes, cardiac disorders (Class II or higher), pulmonary disorders, renal disorders, neurological disorders, and autoimmune disorders.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine is required.

• Setting: Mixed inpatient and outpatient.
• Call schedule includes home night call, Labor and Delivery backup call, and weekend inpatient rounds.
