Locum Tenens Physician - Neonatologist Needed in Pennsylvania

Our client is seeking a Neonatology Physician for a 36-day assignment in Pennsylvania. This role involves 24-hour in-house call shifts, specifically covering hospital call from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and call from 4:30 PM to 8:30 AM. Responsibilities include routine NICU procedures like endotracheal intubation, umbilical line placement, chest tube placement, and NRP, alongside comprehensive NICU coverage encompassing patient rounds, delivery room support, and prenatal consults.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform endotracheal intubation, umbilical line placement, chest tube placement, and NRP (routine NICU procedures)
• Provide 24-hour NICU in-house coverage
• Conduct daily rounds for patients during daytime coverage (08:30-16:30)
• Provide delivery room coverage and prenatal consults as needed
• Support transport services
• Manage ongoing care of NICU patients during nighttime coverage (16:30-08:30)
• Address the full range of Level 3 NICU care, including prematurity, ELBW, gestational age 22+ WGA, pediatric general surgery cases, high frequency ventilation (HFOV and HFJV), and therapeutic hypothermia
