Locum Tenens Physician - Neonatologist Needed in PA

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physician - Neonatologist for a 36-day assignment in Pennsylvania, starting Dec 1, 2026. The successful candidate will provide 24-hour in-house NICU coverage, including both daytime (0830-1630) and nighttime (1630-0830) shifts. Responsibilities encompass managing a full range of NICU care, performing essential procedures like endotracheal intubation and umbilical line placement, conducting daily rounds, offering delivery room coverage, providing prenatal consults, and supporting transport services.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform endotracheal intubation
• Execute umbilical line placement
• Conduct chest tube placement
• Provide NRP (routine NICU procedures)
• Perform daily rounds for patients
• Offer delivery room coverage
• Conduct prenatal consults as needed
• Support transport services
• Manage ongoing care of NICU patients
• Provide a full range of NICU care including prematurity, ELBW, gestational age 22+ WGA
• Manage pediatric general surgery cases
• Utilize high frequency ventilation (HFOV and HFJV)
• Administer therapeutic hypothermia
