Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Surgery - Neurological Needed in VA

Job Description

We are seeking a Neurological Surgery Physician Assistant for a 42-day assignment in Virginia, starting Jul 13, 2026. This role involves a 7 on 7 off night shift rotation (7pm - 7am) across three hospital locations, focusing on pre-operative and post-operative rounding, and managing a diverse patient population including trauma, elective spine, and cranial cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform pre-operative and post-operative rounding.
• Manage a patient population that includes trauma patients (spine and crani), elective spine patients, and elective crani patients.
• Conduct removal of drains.
• Perform shunt adjustments.
• Participate in trauma and practice call.
• No operating room duties are required for this position.

• Required Board Certifications: Neurological Surgery, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC).
• EMR System: Epic.
• Shift hours are 7pm - 7am.
