Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Obstetrician/Gynecologist Physician for a dynamic 5-day assignment with our client in California. This crucial role involves providing comprehensive 24-hour call coverage from 7a-7a, managing both in-house and out-of-house calls. Key duties include overseeing vaginal deliveries, performing C-sections and GYN surgeries, conducting patient triages, and effectively navigating a high-volume clinical setting.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform in-house or out-of-house call duties.
  • Manage patient triages, typically 7-18 per day.
  • Conduct vaginal deliveries and C-sections, averaging 1-7 per day.
  • Provide 24-hour call coverage.
  • Handle inpatient call for vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and GYN surgeries.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required.
  • EMR: Cerner.
  • Setting: Inpatient.
  • Call schedule: 24-hour call coverage; another OB will be on call for specific dates.
  • Patient volume: High volume, typically averaging 3 deliveries/C-sections per day; approximately 2200 deliveries annually at the facility.
