Locum Tenens Physician - OB/GYN Needed in New Mexico

Our client in New Mexico is seeking a dedicated OB/GYN Physician for a 15-day assignment beginning Oct 26, 2024. This vital role involves providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including both clinic responsibilities from 8a-5pm, Monday through Friday, and 24-hour call coverage. The physician will manage a variety of cases, from routine and complicated deliveries to office and surgical gynecology procedures, ensuring continuous patient support.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 24-hour call coverage
• Conduct clinic duties Monday through Friday, 8a-5pm
• Manage OB and GYN cases, including FHR interpretation
• Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds (level 1/screening)
• Perform Amniocentesis
• Manage routine and complicated deliveries; VBACs preferred
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Provide office/minor gynecology and surgical gynecology services

Additional Information

• Required Board Certifications: Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Other Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Laser certification preferred.

• Patients per Day: 1-5 deliveries per week, average 12 clinic patients per day
• LOA: 15 Days
• Staffing Mix: 2 OBGYNs, 1 PRN APP, MA, RN, and a care manager
