Locum Tenens Physician - OB/GYN Needed in New Mexico

We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician for a 9-day locum tenens assignment in New Mexico, with the first block beginning Oct 23, 2024. This role involves 24-hour out-of-house call coverage for specific blocks of time, focusing on a comprehensive range of obstetric and gynecological cases within an inpatient environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 24-hour call coverage.
• Manage a wide array of OB and GYN cases.
• Perform FHR interpretation and OB ultrasounds, including performance and interpretation.
• Conduct level 1/screening, Amniocentesis, and both routine and complicated deliveries.
• Handle VBACs and repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations, with preference for experience in these areas.
• Address office/minor gynecology and surgical gynecology needs.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
• EMR: Epic.
• Required certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Laser certification is preferred.
• Setting: Inpatient.
• Call Schedule: Out of house call.
• Patient Volume: Anticipate 3-8 deliveries per week.
• LOA: 9 Days.
• Staffing Mix: Work alongside 2 OBGYN Physicians, 1 PRN APP, MAs, RNs, and a care manager.
