Job Description

We are seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 4-day assignment in Texas, starting Aug 13, 2026. This role involves TBD shifts with a 1:1 call ratio, managing obstetrics and gynecology cases. Duties include performing procedures such as low-risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation, OB ultrasounds, and routine deliveries, within a department averaging 3-5 patient encounters per shift.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage obstetrics and gynecology cases, including 3-5 patient encounters per shift in a 1department.
  • Perform required procedures: low-risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), OB ultrasounds (performance and interpretation), and routine deliveries (vaginal, decision-making for c-section).
  • Desired procedures include high-risk pregnancy management, Level I/II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, complicated deliveries (C-section, breech, multiple births, VBACs), repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations, and operative/major gynecology (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs, laser certification).
  • Participate in a beeper call schedule with a 1:1 ratio, 30-minute response time, 5-10 phone consults, and 1-2 admissions per 24 hours.
  • Maintain required certifications including BLS and PALS.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required.
