Job Description

Our client in Virginia is seeking a dedicated Oncology Hospitalist Physician for a 50-day assignment, commencing Jul 2, 2026. This vital role involves providing 24-hour inpatient coverage with laborist hours on site, ensuring continuous and comprehensive patient care.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide obstetrics and gynecology services including deliveries, pregnancy management, ultrasounds, and related procedures
  • Manage low risk pregnancy
  • Manage high risk pregnancy
  • Perform FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
  • Perform and interpret OB Ultrasounds - Level I/Screening (viability)
  • Perform and interpret OB Ultrasounds - Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
  • Perform Amniocentesis
  • Perform routine vaginal deliveries
  • Perform low forceps deliveries
  • Make decisions for c-section
  • Manage complicated deliveries including C-section
  • Manage complicated deliveries including Breech
  • Manage complicated deliveries including Multiple births
  • Manage complicated deliveries including Abruptions
  • Manage complicated deliveries including VBAC's
