Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in Medical Oncology for a 65-day assignment starting Jul 6, 2026, in Massachusetts. This role involves providing comprehensive care to adult oncology patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of cancer and treatment-related conditions. The schedule typically runs from 8am to 5pm, focusing on new patient consultations and follow-up visits.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care to adult oncology patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of cancer and treatment-related conditions
  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies
  • Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits, including treatment response and toxicity management
  • Collaborate closely with radiation oncology, surgical oncology, infusion services, palliative care, and ancillary teams
  • Interpret diagnostic testing, including imaging, pathology, and laboratory data
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case conferences
  • Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs) and trainees
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and goals of care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical program development, and potential research activities
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
