Locum Tenens Physician - Optometrist Needed in Wyoming

Our client in Wyoming is seeking a skilled Optometrist for a 120-day assignment. This role offers a consistent Monday-Friday, 8am-4:45pm schedule, focusing on comprehensive eye care, including routine and diabetic eye exams, contact lens fittings, glaucoma monitoring, and urgent care. The Optometrist will also perform various in-office procedures such as refraction, tonometry, OCT interpretation, and foreign body removal.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform comprehensive eye exams.
• Conduct contact lens fittings.
• Manage refractive errors.
• Provide diabetic eye exams.
• Monitor glaucoma.
• Perform dry eye evaluations.
• Evaluate and treat red eye/conjunctivitis.
• Address foreign body evaluations.
• Offer vision therapy/low vision services.
• Handle urgent care cases including flashes/floaters and eye pain.
• Execute procedures such as refraction, tonometry, slit lamp exams, dilated fundus exams, OCT interpretation, and visual field testing.
• Provide contact lens training.
• Perform foreign body removal.
• Insert punctual plugs.

• Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
• Patients per day: 9-12
• LOA: 120 Days
• Staffing Mix: 1 optician, imaging support, 2 front desk, 1 medical assistant
