Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Needed in TX

Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 30-day assignment in Texas, starting Nov 2, 2026. This role involves a combination of day and night shifts with significant night coverage, focusing on the care of chronic pulmonary patients, ventilator and tracheostomy management, and pediatric inpatient rehabilitation and transitional care, without procedures or outpatient duties.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide care on a specialized floor for chronic pulmonary patients, including those utilizing ventilators
• Manage patients requiring non-invasive BiPAP therapy and trach/vent management
• Oversee pediatric inpatient rehabilitation and transitional care
• Care for neuro-rehab, pulmonary, and feeding disorder patient populations
• Manage ventilators and tracheostomies
• Participate in a multidisciplinary care model
• Lead strong family-centered education and discharge planning
• Note: There are no procedures involved and no outpatient expectations for this role.
