Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse Practitioner for a 10-day assignment in California, starting Jul 13, 2026. The client offers a flexible schedule during regular business hours, with opportunities for 1 to 3 days per week based on experience. This role primarily focuses on providing expert wound care, emphasizing misting (UltraMIST) procedures, comprehensive wound assessments, and meticulous documentation to track patient progress and identify treatment needs.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver expert wound care, with a primary emphasis on misting (UltraMIST) procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive wound assessments, including precise measurements (length, width, depth), wound staging (pressure injuries stages 1–4, unstageable, deep tissue injuries), and accurate etiology identification.
  • Perform photographic documentation for tracking progression and conduct thorough skin integrity evaluations.
  • Identify signs of infection, necrosis, or delayed healing.
  • Manage a patient volume of approximately 4 visits per day across different facilities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to see additional wound care patients as identified by staff.
  • Work 1 day per week for providers without misting experience, or 2-3 days per week for providers with prior misting experience.
