Job Description

Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse Practitioner for a 5-day assignment starting Jul 13, 2026. This role offers a flexible schedule of 1 to 3 days per week during regular business hours, with the exact commitment depending on your experience with UltraMIST procedures. You will be responsible for comprehensive wound assessments, staging, measurements, etiology identification, and managing patient care with a focus on misting, photographic documentation, and evaluating skin integrity.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive wound assessments, including staging pressure injuries (stages 1–4, unstageable, deep tissue injuries).
• Accurately measure wound dimensions (length, width, depth).
• Identify wound etiologies and provide photographic documentation for tracking progression.
• Conduct skin integrity evaluations and identify signs of infection, necrosis, or delayed healing.
• Provide care for approximately 4 patients per day at various facilities.
• Be flexible to accommodate additional wound care patients as needed by staff.
• Proficiency or willingness to gain experience in misting (UltraMIST) is a key requirement, influencing potential workdays per week.
