Job Description

Our client in California is actively seeking a dedicated Wound Care Physician Assistant for a 10-day assignment starting Jul 13, 2026. This role offers a flexible schedule during regular business hours, with opportunities for 1-3 days per week based on experience, focusing on comprehensive wound care including UltraMIST procedures and patient assessments, managing approximately 4 patients daily.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide wound care with a primary focus on experience with misting (UltraMIST)
  • Perform comprehensive wound assessments
  • Conduct wound staging (pressure injuries stages 1–4, unstageable, deep tissue injuries)
  • Take accurate wound measurements (length, width, depth)
  • Identify wound etiology
  • Maintain photographic documentation for tracking progression
  • Perform skin integrity evaluations
  • Identify infection, necrosis, or delayed healing
  • Manage a patient volume of approximately 4 visits per day
  • Be flexible to work on additional patients if staff identifies wound care patients that need to be seen
