Provider Type Needed: Surgery - Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant
Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm; possible weeknight and 24-hour weekend call coverage
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform required procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, Convergence, wire removal, myxoma removal, and pericardial window
Round in ICU settings
Provide vein harvesting and serve as first assist in the operating room
Conduct hospital consults and outpatient clinic visits
Manage wound checks, pre- and post-operative patients, and yearly aneurysm evaluations
Place wound vacs and remove sutures/staples
Conduct telephone visits for aneurysm evaluations
Coordinate video consultations with thoracic surgeons
Support care in a Level III trauma center
Additional Information
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Board certification status: Unknown
