Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Physician Assistant to join our client in Tennessee for a 155-day assignment beginning Jun 15, 2026. This role involves Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call, primarily focusing on surgical first assist duties, providing daytime coverage, and participating in call rotations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assisting in rounding
• Assisting in CABG & open heart surgeries
• Assisting in valve repair/replacement
• Performing EVH/vein harvesting (demonstrated independent ability)
• SFA exposure
• Sternotomy closure
• Experience as SFA in Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgical procedures
• Critical care management
• CV ICU experience
• Pre- and post-operative care
• Experience with Impella
• Endoscopic radial artery harvesting
• Chest tube placement
• Arterial/venous sheath placement
• Central venous line placement
