Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice Needed in California

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice for a 60-day assignment in California. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, involving primary care FQHC basics with a focus on rural health. The role includes managing multiple patient complaints per visit, primarily through telehealth with occasional in-clinic support for overflow and walk-ins, addressing a wide range of conditions from acute illnesses to chronic disease management and preventive care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide primary care within an FQHC setting, addressing rural health needs.
• Manage multiple patient complaints per visit, including cold, cough, and flu.
• Care for patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.
• Deliver specialized care, including homeless care and LGBTQ care.
• Perform annual check-ups and typical FQHC primary care services.
• Primarily conduct virtual patient visits, with the flexibility to see patients in the clinic for overflow or walk-ins as needed.
