Job Description

We are seeking a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment with our client in North Carolina, starting Jun 1, 2026. This role involves a Monday through Friday 8a-5p schedule, focusing on evaluating and managing acute and chronic GI conditions, providing pre- and post-procedure care for GI procedures, and patient education on nutrition and disease management.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Evaluate and manage acute and chronic GI conditions
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure care for GI procedures (e.g., colonoscopy, EGD)
  • Manage conditions such as IBS, Crohn’s disease, colitis, GERD / acid reflux, Chronic constipation
  • Support non-surgical weight loss and bariatric services
  • Provide patient education on nutrition and disease management


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (A-GNP); Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)
  • Experience in outpatient or ASC settings preferred
  • Familiarity with GI workflows and high patient throughput
