Locum Tenens Physician - Hospitalist Needed in KY

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician for a 27-day assignment in Kentucky, commencing Sep 15, 2026. This role involves 24-hour call coverage from 7AM to 7AM, requiring you to provide out-of-house call, respond promptly to patient consults, and manage comprehensive patient rounding and follow-ups.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 24-hour out-of-house call within range of the facility.
• Be prepared to respond quickly to callbacks for patient consults.
• Conduct daily rounding and patient follow-ups.
• Manage diabetes patients.
• Perform stress tests and EKG interpretation.
• Provide pediatric care and consults as needed.
• Oversee patient discharging, transfers, and post-operative monitoring.
• Consult with other specialties in the ICU when necessary.
• Demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using ventilators due to the absence of intensivists.

• Required Board Certifications: Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine
• EMR System: Meditech EHR
• Call Schedule: 24-hour coverage from 7AM to 7AM.
