Locum Tenens Physician - OB/GYN Needed in Vermont

We are seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 16-day assignment in Vermont, starting Nov 24, 2026. This role involves 24-hour out-of-house call coverage with shifts from 7am to 7am, primarily focused on deliveries, patient rounding, and managing various obstetric and gynecological cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 24-hour out-of-house call coverage for deliveries and patient rounding.
• Be ready for quick response time when called in throughout each coverage day.
• Round on patients daily, typically starting at 7am.
• Be on call for deliveries, C-sections, and occasional ectopic pregnancies.
• Conduct patient consults for full scope OB/GYN patients.
• Perform annual well-woman exams (Pap smears, breast exams, pelvic exams).
• Manage menstrual disorders, contraception, and menopause.
• Conduct prenatal visits, including labs, ultrasounds, and routine monitoring.

• Call Schedule: 24-hour out-of-house call, within a 30-minute range of the hospital.
• Patients per Day: Approximately 30-35 births per month.
• LOA: 16 Days
• Staffing Mix: Our client's team includes 1 Permanent Fulltime OB GYN Physician, 1 Part-time locum OB GYN Physician, 1 Midwife, 1 Permanent Physician Assistant, experienced RN staff on L&D, an Inpatient Peds Unit, Peds Hospital On Call for High Risk Deliveries, and Full ANE & ED Staff.
