Locum Tenens Physician - Optometrist Needed in Maryland

We are seeking a skilled Optometrist for a 60-day assignment in Maryland. The schedule involves 4-5 days per week, Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts between 8 AM and 5 PM. This role focuses on medical optometry, encompassing preliminary evaluations for surgical procedures, glaucoma and cataract management, post-operative care, dry eye treatment, follow-ups, and medication prescriptions. Technicians will perform refractions, with the Optometrist signing off.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform preliminary evaluations to confirm patient suitability for surgical procedures.
• Manage glaucoma cases.
• Provide management for cataracts.
• Conduct post-operative evaluations.
• Treat dry eye conditions.
• Handle patient follow-up appointments.
• Prescribe necessary medications.
• Review and sign off on refractions performed by technicians.
