Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology Needed in NC

Job Description

Our client in North Carolina seeks a dedicated Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for a 48-day assignment beginning Sep 1, 2026. This role involves 7a-7p shifts, focusing on rounding daily on cardiology patients, writing comprehensive notes, ordering necessary medications and tests, and performing critical procedures such as arterial line and central line placement, and cardioversion, in addition to conducting new consultations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Round daily on all floor level of care patients admitted to or seen in consultation on the general cardiology service line.
• Write daily progress notes, event notes, admission H&Ps, new consult notes, and discharge summaries.
• Order medications, testing, and procedures when indicated.
• Perform procedures in the ICU when indicated, including arterial line placement, central line placement, and cardioversion.
• Perform new consults with the attending Physician.
