Job Description

Our client in MA is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon for a 17-day locum tenens assignment starting Jun 26, 2026. This role involves comprehensive surgical coverage from late June to mid-July, focusing on a broad spectrum of procedures for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, including general surgery, laparoscopic procedures, trauma surgery, and various specialized surgical interventions.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform General Surgery procedures for Adult, Pediatric, Neonate, and Trauma cases
  • Conduct Laparoscopic Surgery including Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty, and Nissen Fundoplication
  • Execute Head/neck surgery and Chest wall/pleural procedures
  • Perform Breast surgery
  • Provide Obstetric & gynecologic surgery such as Cesarean section, D&C, and Hysterectomy
  • Undertake Liver surgery and GI endoscopy (Upper, Lower, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy)
  • Manage Minor Orthopedics and Hand Surgery cases
  • Oversee Ventilation management, Chest tube insertion, Central line insertion, and PA Catheter placement
  • Perform Vascular Surgery procedures including Aneurysm repairs, Arterial bypass, Peripheral interventions, Vascular access devices, and AV shunt
  • Conduct Plastic Surgery
  • Execute Pediatric Surgery procedures for Artesias, Abdominal wall defects, Umbilical defects, Diaphragmatic hernia, Imperforate anus, and PDA ligation
