Job Description

Our client in Montana is seeking a skilled Physician specializing in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery for a 37-day assignment starting Jun 6, 2026. This role involves a demanding schedule with shifts from 7AM-7AM and 8-5, incorporating clinic duties, regular call, and weekend call. The Physician will be responsible for a wide range of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Working clinic and call and weekend call
  • Perform coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
  • Execute heart valve repair (mitral, aortic, tricuspid)
  • Conduct heart valve replacement (mechanical or biological valves)
  • Address aortic aneurysm repair (thoracic and abdominal)
  • Manage aortic dissection repair
  • Participate in heart transplant surgery
  • Perform ventricular assist device (VAD) implantation
  • Undertake congenital heart defect repair (e.g., septal defects, Tetralogy of Fallot)
  • Execute Maze procedure for atrial fibrillation
  • Perform carotid endarterectomy
  • Conduct peripheral artery bypass surgery
  • Engage in lung transplant (in some cardiothoracic practices)
  • Execute removal of cardiac tumors (e.g., myxoma)
  • Perform pericardiectomy (removal of pericardium)
  • Utilize minimally invasive and robotic-assisted heart surgeries
