Job Description

We are seeking a Physician - Otolaryngology/ENT Surgeon for a 100-day assignment in Illinois, starting Aug 24, 2026. This non-invasive role involves an 8 am to 5 pm weekday schedule, with new consults ceasing at 3 pm (Mon-Thu) and 4 pm (Fri). The position includes shared weekend call duties, covering either Saturday or Sunday, with responsibilities for reading echoes, Holters, and ECGs, and managing patient care efficiently during call shifts.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform daily responsibilities including reading echoes, Holters, and ECGs.
  • Complete all EKGs, Holter monitors, and event recorders during scheduled hours.
  • Maintain a weekday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm.
  • Manage new consults, stopping at 3 pm Monday to Thursday, and 4 pm on Friday.
  • Handle shared weekend call duties, typically 3 calls in 15 days (Wednesday, Saturday, Wednesday).
  • Cover weekend call either Saturday or Sunday.
  • Saturday call includes starting 8 am Saturday through 8 am Sunday, and continuing coverage until 2 pm Sunday for patient care.
  • Collaborate with another physician for shared weekend call coverage, ensuring efficient handling of echocardiograms, EKGs, and Holter readings for weekend patients.
  • Be available for call after 4 pm, primarily by phone unless an emergency.
  • Work in a non-invasive setting.
  • Coordinate with an APP for follow-up patient rounding on Saturdays and Sundays.
