Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Critical Care Medicine Needed in MD

Job Description

We are seeking a Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 150-day assignment in Maryland, starting Jul 27, 2026. This role involves night shifts from 7p to 7a, focusing on a mix of MICU and some SICU cases. The successful candidate will perform procedures such as central and arterial lines, and must be proficient in airway management, including intubation.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Primarily manage MICU cases, requiring strong airway skills.
• Handle some SICU cases.
• Perform central and arterial line insertions; proficiency in other lines is a plus.
• Conduct intubations, especially during night shifts when a pulmonary critical care physician may not be on the unit.
• Manage dialysis catheters.
• Perform paracenteses and thoracenteses (preferred).
