Job Description

We are actively seeking a Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 150-day assignment with our client in Maryland, starting Jul 27, 2026. This role involves night shifts from 7p to 7a, focusing primarily on MICU and some SICU cases. The successful candidate will perform procedures such as central and arterial line insertions, intubation, and dialysis catheter placements.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage mostly Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) cases, requiring strong airway skills.
  • Handle some Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) cases.
  • Perform central and arterial line insertions. Other line insertions are a plus.
  • Conduct intubations, especially during night shifts when the pulmonary critical care physician may not be on the unit.
  • Place dialysis catheters.
  • Perform paracentesis and thoracentesis (preferred).
