Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Anesthetist for a 7-day assignment in California, starting May 18, 2026. This role involves comprehensive OR coverage, complemented by night and weekend call duties, with shifts typically running from 7am to 3pm.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide OR coverage and night/weekend call
  • Practice within a critical access hospital environment
  • Commit to covering 1-2 weeks per month
  • Handle daytime cases with optional night call
  • Participate in optional 24-hour call on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Practice independently
  • Oversee operations in daily operating rooms
  • Treat a patient population including adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics
  • Administer general and regional anesthesia, including subarachnoid, epidurals, and peripheral nerve blocks for upper and lower extremities
  • Perform line and airway placement procedures: Peripheral IV/Arterial Line placement, Central Venous Catheter placement, and Advanced Airway Management
  • Manage cases involving Ortho (total joint, knees, shoulders), General surgery, Endoscopies, ENT, Peds, and Outpatient/ambulatory procedures
  • Note: No spines, neurosurgery, vascular, or OB cases are present at this facility
