Locum Tenens Physician - Emergency Medicine Needed in NY

Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 3-day assignment with our client in New York, beginning May 27, 2026. This role involves providing 12-hour emergency department coverage, including both day and night shifts. The physician will manage a diverse patient population encompassing pediatrics and adults, perform general procedures such as intubations, and serve as the sole physician with dedicated APP support.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 12-hour emergency department coverage, including both day and night shifts.
• Manage a diverse patient population, encompassing both pediatric and adult cases.
• Serve as the sole physician, collaborating with APP assistance.
• Perform general emergency department procedures, including intubations.
• Manage a daily patient census of approximately 73, shared with day and night shift physicians and APPs.

Additional Information

• Board Certified in: Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine-Critical Care Medicine, Internal Medicine with Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine
• EMR System: Allscripts
• Must be ABEM certified.
