Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 150-day assignment in California, starting May 20, 2026. This role involves managing a patient volume of approximately 18, ensuring medication refills, and addressing a diverse range of patient needs. Shifts are structured from 8:00am – 5:00pm or 10:00am – 7:00pm, providing comprehensive care to patients with chronic diseases, performing physicals, and managing basic mental health conditions, alongside specialized care for transgender and non-binary individuals.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • See a patient volume of roughly 18
  • Maintain refills for patients
  • Manage chronic diseases such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and asthma
  • Conduct annual wellness exams, employment physicals, and follow-up visits for chronic labs
  • Manage basic SSRI/SNRI titration for anxiety and depression, referring to specialized therapy as needed
  • Perform screening for HIV/STI, including PrEP and PEP
  • Initiate and maintain hormone therapy for trans or non-binary patients, including prescribing and adjusting Testosterone or Estrogen + Anti-androgens
  • Monitor hormone therapy by checking total/free Testosterone, Estradiol, CBC, and BMP

  • Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification - Adult Gerontology (ACNPC-AG)

  • Work with an adolescent/adult patient population, with approximately one third of patients being trans or non-binary
