Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice Needed in ME

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for our client in Maine to begin a 4-day assignment starting May 31, 2026. This role involves seeing patients of all ages for various ailments and wellness checks, supporting the EMS crew on emergency calls, and transporting patients to mainland facilities. Shifts are typically from 8am to 1pm, with flexibility to reschedule appointments when responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages for a range of ailments and perform wellness checks.
• Support the EMS Crew on every emergency call.
• Respond to 911 medical emergencies when toned out via pager.
• Accompany and transport patients to mainland facilities via ferry (in ambulance), boat, or small plane.
• Exercise discretion to reschedule appointments as needed when responding to emergency calls.
