Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner to join our client's team in New Mexico for a 30-day assignment starting Jul 6, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive rural health primary care, including physicals, wellness visits, managing acute cases, and chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes, often serving a geriatric patient population. The schedule offers flexibility with either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive rural health primary care in a clinic setting
  • Perform physicals and wellness/annual visits
  • Manage acute cases including cold, cough, flu, and minor foreign body removals
  • Address chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes, including managing a higher volume of diabetes patients
  • Administer vaccinations
  • Care for a patient population that includes a higher geriatric demographic, with occasional pediatric patients
  • Collaborate with a Family Practice Physician present at the clinic
  • Manage patient appointments effectively within 15-45 minute slots, adjusting based on acuity and visit type
