Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for an 80-day assignment with our client in New Mexico, starting Jul 6, 2026. This role involves working four 10-hour shifts weekly in a rural health primary care clinic. The chosen Nurse Practitioner will manage a diverse patient population, focusing on physicals, wellness visits, acute cases such as cold and flu, and chronic conditions including hypertension and diabetes, with a higher volume of geriatric and diabetes patients.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive primary care in a rural health clinic setting.
  • Conduct physical examinations and annual wellness visits.
  • Manage acute conditions such as colds, coughs, and influenza.
  • Oversee chronic disease management, including hypertension and a higher volume of diabetes patients.
  • Administer vaccinations as needed.
  • Perform minor foreign body removals.
  • Care for a diverse patient demographic, including a higher geriatric population and occasional pediatric patients.
  • Utilize 15-45 minute appointment slots based on patient acuity and visit type.
  • Work collaboratively with an on-site Family Practice Physician.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Family Medicine is required.
  • Experience with Cerner EMR system.
