Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 5-day assignment in Utah, starting May 5, 2026. This role involves full-time 9am-6pm shifts, focusing on a high-volume patient environment. You will perform comprehensive family practice duties including IUD removals, abscess removals, managing dehydration requiring IVs, mammograms, pap smears, lab work, follow-ups, physicals, and care for diabetic patients, alongside various other primary care services.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage a high-volume patient load, comfortable seeing at least 40 patients per day and 4 patients an hour.
  • Perform removal of IUDs and abscesses.
  • Address patient dehydration, administering IV fluids as needed.
  • Conduct mammograms, pap smears, and general lab work.
  • Perform follow-up appointments, physicals, and DOT physicals.
  • Provide care for diabetic patients, including prescribing medications like metformin and glipizide.
  • Manage hypertension and read EKGs.
  • Perform minor procedures such as ingrown toenail removal.
  • Prescribe controlled substances (CSR 2-4) including amoxicillin, cholesterol medications, and clonazepam as appropriate.
