Job Description

Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 2-day assignment starting Jun 29, 2026. This role involves managing 8-hour shifts focused on essential patient visits, including checkups, screenings, vaccinations, and lab follow-ups. The Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive primary care within a multi-specialty acute care clinic.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform patient visits, including checkups, screenings, and vaccinations.
  • Utilize on-site lab for follow-ups and prescription management.
  • Provide comprehensive family care, chronic condition management, and wellness services.
  • Serve a diverse patient population, including the Medi-Cal community, Medicare patients, and those with Imperial Health Insurance (IEHP).
  • Manage rural health patients across all age groups.
  • Address acute care cases such as suturing, splinting, reading EKGs and X-rays, managing nosebleeds, and performing biopsies.
  • Maintain a patient volume of typically 25-30 per day, accommodating walk-ins as needed.
