Locum Tenens Physician - Family Practice Needed in NY

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for a 123-day assignment starting Oct 5, 2026, in New York. This high-volume outpatient and community-based role involves delivering comprehensive primary care, urgent care, and minor procedures, operating on a 9 AM to 5 PM shift schedule, and collaborating within a team to serve a diverse and often underserved population.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive primary care, urgent care, and perform minor procedures in a high-volume outpatient setting.
• Engage in team-based care delivery for diverse patient populations.
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and hyperlipidemia.
• Conduct physical examinations and address acute sick visits including upper respiratory infections, influenza, UTIs, minor injuries, and rashes.
• Address overlapping behavioral health needs, including depression and anxiety.
• Offer women's health services and pediatric care, encompassing well-child visits, vaccinations, and common illnesses.
• Serve an underserved and Medicaid-heavy patient population within a community health setting.
